Free Range Strange
Free Range Strange
Free Range Strange is an organic, poly-rooted string quartet, comprised of four multi-instrumentalist song writers. Focusing on original material while infusing traditional folk, modern bluegrass, old time blues and country.

The group began in the spring of 2015 as a duo when founding members Timber and Sunnie Rae met and began writing and performing together. They recorded their first album, “Lucky” and took their music from Sarasota, Florida to Ashland, Oregon. With the dream of forming a full time touring band, they sought out like-minded musicians. In the new year of 2016 John Gospel joined, with Chase Holliday following year.

From the street corner to the main stage, Free Range Strange lives up to its name. They have shared the stage with a variety of artists, such as; John Kadlecik (Furthur, Dark Star Orchestra), The Main Squeeze, Under the Willow, and Brock Butler (Perpetual Groove). Additionally, they have performed at a number of music festivals, including; Wormtown Music Festival, Orange Blossom Jamboree, Hometeam New Years’ Rally, Lil’ Econ Love Fest, Great Outdoors Jam, and more.
