The Delta Troubadours
The Delta Troubadours
The four-piece Gainesville rock band, The Delta Troubadours, comprised of Gytis Garsys (lead vocals, guitar, keys), Jon Franklin (bass, vocals), Ian Heausler (lead guitar, vocals), and Max Rowe (drums), has cultivated an energetic live show and a studio presence with instrumental virtuosity demonstrative of the road less-traveled in today’s music scene.

Formerly known as Gritt, The Delta Troubadour's current lineup of longtime friends became official in early 2015. Together, they traded country for a new blues-tinged alternative rock ’n’ roll sound and embarked on a serious musical journey ready to explode.

Early 2016 saw the release of The Delta Troubadours's independent debut Gritt - EP (re-released January 9, 2017), recorded at the legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL, which showcased a blues rock tone representative of the band’s roots and earliest influences. Since their formation, The Delta Troubadours have built a lot of local buzz, which has included taking home the title of the “Best Band in Gainesville” after winning the 2016 Gainesville Battle of the Bands and being named “One of Five Must-See Bands” at the 2016 Gasparilla Music Festival in Tampa. Both the band and their fans agree that The Delta Troubadours's next step will be the ascent to national recognition. In 2017, The Delta Troubadours plan to do just that. In addition to hitting the studio to record new material,The Delta Troubadours started the year on a high note by winning the Destination Okeechobee competition, against over 3,200 acts, which secured the group a spot on the 2017 Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival main stage lineup.

The Delta Troubadours's widely anticipated follow-up to the Gritt - EP is slated for release in Spring 2017. Until then, look out for the band as they continue to play shows in Florida and expand into the Southeast region.
